We have an exciting opportunity for a talented Payroll Administrator with experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. This position is 100% remote.
The Payroll Administrator will perform all activities necessary to process multiple payrolls, including maintaining related records, voluntary deduction reports, processing involuntary deductions such as levies and garnishments, documenting and updating procedures, and preparing special reports for management. The Payroll Administrator will establish and maintain employee/payroll records. Duties include checking and auditing timekeeping records for compliance with established standards, and maintaining time and attendance records. Tasks are generally routine and require little or no deviation from established procedures. In this role, you will work under close supervision.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform full cycle timesheet processing which include, but not limited to, timesheet review and correction, as well as labor, leave and special pay postings
- Monitor timesheets to ensure they are submitted and approved in a timely manner
- Perform activities related to employee terminations
- Participate in staff and department meetings
- Collaborate with Payroll Administrator to ensure labor is complete and accurate for payroll submission
- Assist with the maintenance and update of functional area policies and procedures
- Perform labor and leave account accruals and reconciliations
- Assist with internal and external audit requests
- Participate in special projects and Costpoint system integrations
- Monitor and respond to Payroll mailbox inquiries
- Assist with payroll as needed
- Other related duties as assigned
Required Skills and Experience:
- Clearance Required: None. US Citizenship required for work on DoD contracts.
- 3+ years of payroll experience and a bachelor’s degree
- 7 years of experience in lieu of a degree
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience in a government contracting environment
- 3 years of Deltek Costpoint and T&E experience
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP, FAR and compliance within highly regulated environments
- Experience working with DCAA and DCMA including audit support.
- A strong attention to detail with a focus on analytics
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong Excel experience
- Must be able to effectively meet deadlines and prioritize work assignments for efficiency
Desired Experience:
- Familiarity with Government timekeeping requirements is desired.
- Preference will be given to candidates with a BS in Accounting, but Finance and other Business Administration degrees will be considered.
