Maintenance Operations Logistics Manager, Senior provides guidance and technical input to maintenance managers in performing maintenance and management functions in support of aircraft, aircraft systems, training or support programs. Reviews recommended changes from fleet and other activities, ECPs, and independent technical investigations. Provides support and participates in the Readiness Improvement Program Reviews, Maintenance Engineering or Logistics reviews and other technical and maintenance related meetings. Prepares lessons learned for process improvement. Performs various tasks related to the development of detailed business processes such as issue sheets, logistics engineering change proposal, critical item logistics review, degraders, cost per flight hour management, and integrated maintenance program process improvements. Develops cost and trend analysis to defend maintenance planning with respect to logistics footprint across the platform, provisioning of spares, depot and capability standup as well as reduction of total ownership costs.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in operational logistics or maintenance engineering.
- Four (4) years’ experience directing the activities of operational technicians in the performance of comprehensive analysis across the spectrum of Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements during a job assignment in an Operational Command or supporting an Operational Command.
- Four (4) years of operational (fleet support) logistics support experience.
- Two (2) years of specific experience in operational logistics planning and management which demonstrates the ability to perform independent work to provide logistics planning, scheduling, execution and support system effectiveness analysis, studies and evaluations in support of DoD aircrafts systems and equipment.
- Education requirement: Bachelor’s Degree in an Aviation or business-related discipline required.
- Top Secret Security Clearance Required. NOTE: US Citizenship is required to obtain/maintain a United States Top Secret Security Clearance.
Security Clearance:
- Position requires the ability to obtain a Top-Secret clearance and maintain a favorable Tier 5 background investigation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- S-92, VH-92A, VH-3D, and VH-60N experience preferred.
