Requirements
  • Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information clearance with a counterintelligence polygraph.
  • Have at least 3 years of experience providing administrative or operational support to Department of Defense or Intelligence Community elements.
  • Have working knowledge of military and civilian evaluation and awards processes, including military terminology and staff-action workflows.
  • Have a high level of oral and written communication skill and be able to produce clear, concise products while handling sensitive matters with discretion.
  • Have working knowledge of regulations, directives, and procedures governing the control of highly classified materials.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Have working knowledge of SharePoint and shared-drive management.
  • Be able to type at least 30 words per minute.
Responsibilities
  • Process military and civilian evaluations and awards as the primary point of contact for award recommendations and evaluation packages within J21.
  • Prepare and edit staff packages for executive review, signature, and filing, including civilian award recommendations, military and civilian letters, and internal and external memorandums.
  • Receive, process, staff, and track staff actions throughout their entire life cycle in support of J21 tasking systems.
  • Perform requirements processing in DARTS and ETMS2 in support of award and evaluation workflows.
  • Update and maintain relevant databases, shared drives, and SharePoint to ensure accurate tracking of awards and evaluation status.
  • Provide senior-level staff-action support to task managers and subordinate organizations as required.
  • Prepare packages and communications for review and routing, ensuring completion within specified suspense dates with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Provide general administrative support through in-person, telephone, and email communications as directed by J21 leadership.
Desired Qualifications
  • Have general knowledge of the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Defense agencies, Military Departments, and the Intelligence Community to understand organizational relationships and external coordination requirements.
  • Have familiarity with DARTS, ETMS2, or similar Department of Defense tasking and requirements-management systems.
  • Have familiarity with the J2 directorate mission, functions, and organizational relationships.
