Requirements
  • Be a current graduate student at The University of Texas at Austin and be enrolled in at least 9 credit hours during the fall and spring semester.
  • Be available to work 20 hours per week during standard workweek hours, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Be self-directed and have well-developed communication skills.
  • Have extensive planning and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Be able to work independently and recognize when to request guidance.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and willingness to research and propose creative solutions.
  • Be a quick learner with curiosity about identifying and researching additional lines of inquiry.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct a comprehensive analysis of existing international activities within the University’s colleges, schools, and units by collecting data from multiple sources, university offices, and individual faculty webpages.
  • Collect, analyze, and further investigate existing data as needed to document activities and ensure the accuracy of recorded information.
  • Clean and standardize data in the database.
  • Maintain detailed documentation and meticulously organized records of findings.
  • Optimize data for visualization.
  • Provide routine reports on the progress of data collection across colleges, schools, and units.
  • Format findings for ease of retrieval and searchability.
  • Propose solutions to challenges encountered while identifying and recording data.
  • Assist in coordinating inbound and outbound delegations by conducting research, preparing reports, and escorting visitors to campus meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
