The Job/What You’ll Do:
AssetMark is seeking a strategic, results-driven professional to lead the development of a comprehensive sourcing and procurement strategy for our organization. The successful candidate will lead sourcing projects with business leaders while managing a multitude of sourcing relationships. This role will require both high-level strategic thinking and a hands-on approach to develop a sourcing strategy that aligns with our company’s growth objectives and operational needs.
We can consider candidates for this position who are able to accommodate a hybrid work schedule and are close to our office locations in Phoenix, AZ, Chicago, IL, or Atlanta, GA.
Responsibilities:
- Procurement Strategy: Create a long-term procurement and sourcing strategy that supports business growth, enhances cost-effectiveness, and ensures the procurement of high-quality products and services
- Supplier Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key vendors, ensuring high performance in terms of quality, cost, and delivery
- Cost Optimization: Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality by implementing effective sourcing tactics
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, supplier capabilities, and market pricing dynamics
- Process Improvement: Design and implement procurement processes, tools, and technologies that streamline workflows, reduce lead times, and improve supplier performance
- Risk Management: Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential supply chain disruptions, ensuring continuity of supply in both day-to-day operations and during crises
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams such as Legal, Finance, and Operations to align procurement activities with overall business objectives
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of supplier relationship management, contract negotiation, and cost optimization
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen understanding of market trends and risk management strategies
- Leadership skills with the ability to manage a team and foster a collaborative environment
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain strategy roles
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing procurement strategies that deliver measurable business impact
- Experience with procurement tools and technologies (e.g., ERP systems, procurement software)
Compensation: The Base Salary range for this position is between $135,000-$160,000.
This information reflects a base salary range that AssetMark reasonably expects to pay for the position based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and actual work location. This position will also be eligible for additional variable incentive compensation and competitive benefits.
