Requirements
  • BS/BA degree in an industry-related field, Safety-related degree or Safety Certification
  • Minimum three years of solar residential/commercial safety experience preferred
  • Three or more years of direct experience in training and development in a Solar Construction environment is a plus
  • Two to three years of electrical experience is a plus
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace is preferred
  • OSHA 500 is highly preferred, as well as current safety certifications in applicable topics including, but not limited to: fall protection, NFPA 70E, electrical safety, lock-out-tag-out, trench safety, ladder safety, and general safety
  • First aid, CPR, and AED
  • Thorough knowledge of all OSHA, NIOSH, NFPA, and DOT regulations and reporting requirements, and construction industry best practices
  • 50% or more travel required
Responsibilities
  • Train/Coach employees on PosiGen Safety policies, procedures, and regulations in line with National, State, and City regulations
  • Perform regular on-site coaching/training with field team members to ensure training continues throughout a team member's entire tenure
  • Identify training and development needs within field-related positions in Operation through job analysis and regular consultation with managers and Human Resources departments
  • Regularly monitor and evaluate safety practices in operations to ensure that staff members comply with administrative policies and procedures, safety rules, environmental policies, and/or government regulations
  • Support/help department managers and trainers solve specific training problems, either one-on-one or in groups
  • Report progress of team member training and performance to respective Managers, Director of Safety, and HR
  • Perform periodic Safety Site Checks to ensure training requirements and Safety standards are met
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state health and safety regulations and ensure necessary records are maintained and prepared according to established guidelines
  • Amend and revise programs as necessary
  • Assist in the production of training materials for in-house courses
  • Keep up to date with developments in training and coaching by reading relevant journals, attending meetings, and attending relevant courses
