Responsibilities
  • Supervise and support nursing assistants, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and best practices. Conduct staff meetings, performance evaluations, and manage staffing needs.
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered, monitor resident conditions, and ensure proper documentation of care provided. Participate in resident admissions, transfers, discharges, and care planning.
  • Complete and maintain accurate resident records, including physician orders, progress notes, and incident reports. Ensure adherence to care plans and communicate any necessary updates.
  • Administer medications, maintain accurate narcotic records, and ensure adequate stock levels of medications and supplies.
  • Participate in facility audits, surveys, and quality assurance activities. Report and address any discrepancies in care or compliance.
  • Support the orientation and ongoing training of nursing staff, ensuring adherence to safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment, ensuring staff follow safety procedures, including infection control protocols and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Collaborate with physicians, family members, and other departments to provide holistic, coordinated care.
  • Complete required administrative tasks, including incident reports, daily census, and coordinating with the business office on billing and documentation.
