CFD Engineer 1

Job Duties

• Lead and support CFD projects across all product divisions - burners, flares, thermal oxidizers, vapor.
• Work closely with the Computational Group at Zeeco headquarters in Tulsa, OK.
• Support the research and development projects that require CFD analyses.
• Interpret and present simulation findings clearly to help guide engineering design decisions.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations.
• Work with complicated geometry, fluid flows, turbulence and reactions within CFD.
• Utilize your knowledge in CFD and programming to improve the CFD workflow.
• Contribute to the long-term business and technical objectives of the Computational Group and Zeeco as whole.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in mechanical or chemical engineering required. Doctorate degree preferred.
• Prior experience in combustion preferred.
• Microsoft Office Suite experience required.
• Extensive experience using CFD tools such as ANSYS FLUENT or SIEMENS STAR-CCM+ is required.
• CAD experience required. (Tools such as SOLIDWORKS, Autodesk Inventor, SpaceClaim, etc.)
• Minimum industry experience of 1 year.
• Programming experience preferred. (Python, Java, C++, Fortran, R, etc.)
• Linux experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal with an ability to present complex technical information clearly.
