As a Systems Engineer on our team, you will have the opportunity to participate in a client’s scientific research program. Your skills in systems architecture, radio communications, and networking will be vital when installing and integrating systemic solutions to meet your customer’s needs. You will gain experience in operational meteorology and air traffic control systems while supporting the safe conduct of flight operations on the Antarctic continent. You will be a valued member of a small team of highly skilled engineers where your contributions will be critical to the team’s success. You will gain valuable experience designing and fielding navigation and communications systems in harsh, remote environments. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

You Have: 

• 10+ years of experience in Systems or Network Engineering

• Knowledge of two or more of radar systems, radio communications systems, and air traffic control systems

• Ability to travel to Antarctica for up to 4 weeks annually

• Ability to pass an Antarctic deployment physical exam

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Network Engineering, or Electrical Engineering

Nice If You Have: 

• Experience using one or more of shipboard URN-33 or TACAN systems, High-Frequency radio systems, Very-High Frequency or Ultra-High Frequency radio communication systems, Ubiquiti network equipment, Rhode-Shwartz or Frequentis communications system equipment, or Portable Doppler Radar

• Experience in Aviation Ground Electronics Systems, including military training

• Secret clearance

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Systems, Network, or Electrical Engineering

• Network+ or Security+ Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,700.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
