North Face VECTIV Forward x Engineered Garments drops September 11th. Sep 9, 2026 Key details. Release Date: September 11-12, 2026 * The VECTIV Forward is the first-ever collaboration between The North Face and Engineered Garments. * It converts between a laced running shoe and a slip-on using a swappable tongue cover. * The build pairs a 3D Pebax and carbon plate with a DREAM foam midsole and a SurfaceCTRL outsole. The North Face and Engineered Garments have unveiled the VECTIV Forward, the first sneaker to come out of their debut partnership. The lifestyle-runner hybrid is built around a two-way, modular design that lets the wearer swap between a traditional laced setup and a slip-on silhouette, merging outdoor running tech with a more utilitarian, everyday build. The Forward carries designer Daiki Suzuki's workwear-rooted design language, layered onto The North Face's running-shoe engineering, and it's the two labels' first sneaker project together. It lands as running silhouettes keep getting pulled into fashion rotations, pushing brands to build shoes that hold up on a run and still work as a daily pair. Engineered Garments has worked in footwear before, including its recent Converse Weapon collaboration, and this North Face pairing applies that same utilitarian eye to a performance running platform. JustFreshKicks will keep tracking how the collab rolls out; readers can also browse the sneaker release dates hub for what else is dropping this month. My latest videos. The The North Face x Engineered Garments VECTIV Forward design. Underfoot, the VECTIV Forward runs on a 3D Pebax and carbon plate paired with a DREAM foam midsole, tuned for propulsion and stability whether it's logging miles or just walking around. A rocker-shaped sole and a high-grip SurfaceCTRL outsole round out the running-focused build. The shoe arrives in a monochromatic "Easy Navy/TNF Black" colorway, keeping the palette restrained so the modular construction stays the focal point. Pulling the laces and clipping in the included tongue cover turns the running shoe into a slip-on without changing anything below the foot. What inspired the North Face x Engineered Garments VECTIV Forward collaboration? The shoe merges designer Daiki Suzuki's utilitarian design approach at Engineered Garments with The North Face's running-performance engineering, marking the two labels' first-ever sneaker collaboration. The North Face x Engineered Garments introduce the VECTIV Forward. Their first-ever collaboration reimagines The North Face's technical runner with a 2-way design that can be worn with or without laces. * The North Face and Engineered Garments debut the VECTIV Forward, a modular lifestyle-runner convertible between laced and slip-on styles. * Launching September 11-12, 2026, the navy/black sneaker blends utilitarian design with performance tech like 3D Pebax plates and DREAM foam. The North Face and Engineered Garments have partnered up for their first-ever collaboration, dropping the versatile VECTIV Forward silhouette. Central to the limited-edition pair is a modular design inspired by designer Daiki Suzuki's utilitarian approach and the outdoor gear label's performance expertise. As sneaker silhouettes originally made for running continue to be embraced by fashion, the need to equally address both function and form is driving innovative solutions. This lifestyle-runner hybrid boasts a transformable two-way design, allowing the wearer to choose between traditional laces for serious running or swapping them out with the complementary tongue cover for a casual slip-on. Below the feet, VECTIV 3D Pebax & carbon plates and a DREAM foam midsole ensure propulsion and stability, along with the rocker structure and high-grip SurfaceCTRL(TM) of the outsole. Built for both strenuous runs and casual strolls, the shoe arrives in a monochromatic "Easy Navy/TNF Black" colorway for a balance of performance and pared-back style. The North Face x Engineered Garments VECTIV Forward will be released for pre-sale at THE NORTH FACE FOOTWEAR Shinsaibashi and ENGINEERED GARMENTS TOKYO from Friday, September 11th, 2026, followed by an online and nationwide release on Saturday, September 12th.

Todd Spaletto joins Huckberry as Board Member and SVP strategy. September 8, 2026 Austin-based independent men's retailer and lifestyle brand Huckberry has appointed former TNF president Todd Spaletto to its Board of Directors. He will also take on an active advisory role as SVP of strategy. Spaletto has reportedly been working with Huckberry's Executive Leadership Team (ELT) to help shape the company's three-year strategic roadmap and annual operating plan. In his dual capacity as Board Member and SVP of strategy, he will be embedded alongside the ELT - splitting his time between Huckberry's Austin HQ and remotely - to bring operational scale to the company's go-to-market engine while driving growth across brand, product, and channel expansion. "Huckberry has built something genuinely unique in retail - a brand rooted in quality gear, authentic storytelling, and real community," said Spaletto. "Having worked closely with the team on their strategic planning over the last few months, I've seen firsthand the momentum and potential here. I'm excited to work with the team to build on that and help guide the operational scale needed to capture the massive opportunity ahead." Most recently, Spaletto served as president of Public Lands and SVP at Dick's Sporting Goods. He previously served as global president of The North Face. "Todd's track record of scaling iconic outdoor and retail brands speaks for itself, but just as importantly, he understands what has made Huckberry special. He brings the exact mix of operational rigor, brand-building wisdom, and grounded perspective we need as we navigate our next chapter of growth." said Richard Greiner and Andy Forch, Huckberry Founders and Co-CEOs. Spaletto's appointment is said to come as Huckberry continues to expand its footprint from its DTC foundation to an omni-channel strategy across its own stores and network of nation-wide premium wholesale partners.
