Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Aviation Operations, Business Administration or related.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in military and civilian airlift logistics, with a strong background in both ground and air support operations.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing logistics strategies for complex military systems in line with Department of Defense (DoD) logistics processes, regulations, and standards.
  • Experience with logistics software and inventory management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to optimize complex logistics networks.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Basic knowledge of FAA regulations and military aviation.
  • Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
  • Proficiency with emerging technologies in defense and their logistical.
  • Proficiency in flight operations software and management information.
  • Able to travel up to 50% of the time.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily flight operations for a diverse fleet of aircraft, including scheduling, mission planning, and resource allocation.
  • Develop comprehensive logistics plans for demonstrations, deployments, operations, and maintenance of systems in various military contexts.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate logistical considerations into product design and development.
  • Create and manage supply chain strategies to ensure efficient and timely delivery of systems and components.
  • Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for flight and ground operations, safety protocols, maintenance schedules and logistics.
  • Coordinate with military partners to align internal logistics processes with existing military infrastructure and procedures.
  • Optimize inventory management and distribution systems for both ground and air-based operations.
  • Develop training programs for military personnel on operations, maintenance and logistics of systems.
  • Analyze and improve logistics processes to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant military regulations and standards in air to ground.
  • Manage relationships with key suppliers and logistics.
  • Contribute to proposal development for new contracts, focusing on logistics and sustainment aspects.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with C5, C-17, C-130 and civilian equivalent logistics planning, cargo handling, large-scale deployments of equipment, and supply flow
  • Proficiency with autonomous systems or unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs)
  • Certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., APICS CSCP, PMP).
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and rapid prototyping
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exposure with international logistics and foreign military sales (FMS)
