Summary:
We are seeking a self-motivated junior Compliance professional to help support a number of global compliance programs including, Reallocations, Expert Networks, assisting with the coordination of the review and updates to various Policies and Procedures along with actioning Portfolio Management order restrictions. Additionally, the successful candidate will help provide compliance support to the Private Debt portfolio management and Multi-Asset Strategies & Solutions group. Daily activities will include, but not be limited to reviewing information barrier alerts, responding to business inquiries, assisting with the review and approval of investment and trading reallocation requests, production of management information reporting for committees, and monitoring.
The individual will also provide compliance support and analysis for business, firm-wide and Legal and Compliance initiatives that may require coordination with colleagues across the Americas and in the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) and Asia-Pacific regions. This person should feel comfortable working with teams and engaging across functional areas.
Qualifications:
- Prior Advisory Compliance experience and/or knowledge of US federal securities laws a plus
- 3-5 years of asset management compliance experience
- Ability to outline a project and manage to completion while interacting with various parts of BlackRock
- Organized and detail-oriented with strong time management and multi-tasking skills
- Demonstrated ability to think critically, logically and analytically
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Strong written/oral communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
- Bachelor’s degree required
