Requirements
  • MS in Computer Engineering/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience in FPGA verification of complex FPGA design.
  • Direct experience using Python and Cocotb to implement AXI4 and AXIS based testbenches.
  • Knowledge and experience of UVM is a plus.
  • Experience with FPGA simulation tools such as Questa and/or Modelsim.
  • Good understanding of digital design and DSP (FIR, FFT, Mixer, DDC …).
  • Knowledge of communication protocols such as AXI-4, AXI-Stream, PCIe, USB, SPI, I2C, etc.
  • General electronic knowledge in both the analog and digital domain.
  • Scripting knowledge: TCL, VB, Python.
  • Must be an inquisitive problem solver and a proactive thinker.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and interact with both software and hardware engineers.
  • Must have good communication skills.
Responsibilities
  • Define verification methodology and design and implement a reusable verification framework.
  • Work with design engineer to ensure and improve testability at the module level and system level.
  • Write and maintain a verification plan, testbenches and regression test suite.
  • Development of self-checking testbenches in System Verilog and Python using the Cocotb framework.
  • Hands-on lab testing using test equipment to verify behavior and performance of designs.
  • Develop validation scripts to test the hardware either independently or in collaboration with our acquisition software group.
