Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software and other general office equipment is required.
  • Ability to obtain certification through training and operate a Work Assist Vehicle is required.
  • Ability to work extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and extra hours, sometimes on short notice, is required.
  • Ability to work under specific time constraints is required.
  • Ability to spend extended periods standing in a warehouse setting and work within confined areas is required.
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis is required.
  • Ability to perform personal protective equipment gowning procedures frequently to enter BioSafety Level II is required.
  • Compliance with company policies, the Cook Employee Manual, Cook Code of Conduct, Quality System Manual, Cook Electronic Information Policy, and HIPAA regulations is required.
  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently with minimal supervision is required.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain an uninterrupted supply of all elements required for internal and external customers.
  • Ensure deliveries and shipments are processed safely, with quality, and in a timely manner.
  • Receive and process incoming orders, including recording and providing thorough documentation and executing tasks in the enterprise resource planning software system.
  • Prepare and document product shipments according to packaging procedures and specifications using shipping courier software for clinical and research requirements.
  • Perform shipping, receiving, material handling, and proper storage of high-value, temperature-controlled, production-critical materials; process check raw materials, finished materials, and semi-finished materials.
  • Ensure compliance with shipping and receiving safety standards, regulations, and internal operating procedures.
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining warehouse operating procedures.
  • Assist in scheduling purchases of raw materials and warehouse supplies.
  • Assist in maintaining the shipment schedule.
  • Communicate delivery or shipment notifications, including damage or delays, to appropriate personnel or team members.
  • Execute tasks in clinical distribution software or systems.
  • Apply cold-chain best practices.
  • Organize and properly label materials, maintain physical inventory, and correct discrepancies.
  • Follow safety precautions when operating equipment and wear appropriate safety gear.
  • Report deviations or other potential problems to management in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Maintain company quality and safety standards.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Upgrade knowledge, job skills, abilities, and competency related to the duties and responsibilities of the position.
  • Prioritize work and operate proactively.
