Requirements
  • 2-5 years’ experience
  • Experience with financial models, business intelligence tools (python, SQL, Excel, etc.), projections and their mechanics
  • Strong analytical skills and experience working with large datasets
  • An understanding of various asset classes (FX, futures, options, etc.) and how to navigate an income statement and balance sheet.
  • Intellectually curious self-starter, comfortable in ambiguity and a fast-paced environment
  • Highly detailed oriented
  • Strong appetite for problem solving in a high growth business

Responsibilities
  • Develop a deep understanding of Galaxy’s various business lines (e.g. trading, asset management, mining, etc.)
  • Update and maintain various daily, weekly and quarterly P&L reporting streams
  • Update and maintain FP&A models and reconciliations vs. other data sources
  • Leverage python and SQL to support model development, build data pipelines, and automate workflows.
  • Assist with projects translating Excel and python based models into automation requirements
  • Work with business units and FP&A team members to model new business requirements
  • Provide ad-hoc analyses
