Requirements
  • Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
  • Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Program
  • 1 year of Medical Assistant Experience
  • current RN/LPN license
Responsibilities
  • Performs basic clerical and office duties including assembling necessary documents and supplies, effectively using computer applications, scheduling and coordinating appointments, maintaining medical records, and maintaining inventory of supplies.
  • Performs business and financial duties including assigning procedural and diagnostic coding, conducting pre-authorizations and referrals, and facilitating timely billing.
  • Performs clinical functions including triaging patient needs, recognizing emergency situations, preparing examination areas, performing intake processes, administering screening tests, assisting providers, providing patient education, and reporting significant changes in patient condition.
  • Actively participates in quality improvement initiatives.
