Requirements
- The ability to push, pull, lift, or carry up to 50 pounds, with occasional loads up to 100 pounds.
- The ability to perform repetitive use of the hands, arms, and legs and maintain hand-eye coordination.
- The ability to hear, comprehend, and speak to safely perform work.
- The ability to perform sedentary to heavy work.
- The ability to operate hand and power tools, including electric, gas, and pneumatic tools, with proper training and authorization.
- The ability to climb and maintain balance on steel or wood frameworks, stairs, ladders, and scaffolds.
- The ability to grasp, lift, handle, carry, or feel objects frequently.
- The ability to perform prolonged bending, twisting, walking, crawling, kneeling, overhead reaching, squatting, pushing, pulling, standing, and lifting.
- The ability to walk on uneven surfaces, muddy conditions, loose rock, and loose or soft sand.
- The ability to work in confined spaces when required.
- The ability to work in adverse weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain.
- The ability to communicate effectively with management and supervision.
- The ability to work at various tempos and concentrate amid distractions.

- The ability to remember, examine, and observe details.
Responsibilities
- Clean the work area and restock supplies and materials as necessary.
- Assist the Pipefitter in lifting, positioning, and securing materials during installation.
- Perform minor maintenance and cleaning activities.
- Assist the Pipefitter in installing all types of piping by learning to use appropriate hand and power tools.
- Cut or drill holes, mount pipe hangers and brackets, and perform other routine duties as directed.
- Load, transport, unload, and furnish the Pipefitter with materials, tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Learn to read and understand plans and specifications.
- Assist other craft workers as needed.
