Requirements
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in information systems, engineering, or related field.
  • Bring at least 10 years of experience in PACS, identity management, or federal IT compliance.
  • US Citizenship (required by federal government).
Responsibilities
  • Support the development of the Physical Access Converged Enterprise Solution Planning (PACES) project vision, roadmap, acquisition strategy, implementation approach, and resource requirements for automating and integrating physical security systems and processes.
  • Analyze and review existing physical security systems and processes to identify opportunities for modernization and automation.
  • Identify and propose interfaces to enhance and automate physical security processes, support Electronic Security System (ESS) integrations and ensure compliance with federal mandates.
  • Identify and recommend access controls, including Personal Identity Verification (PIV) / non-PIV credentialing, automated General Services Administration (GSA) and PACS interfaces, onboarding and offboarding processes, multi-factor authentication, role-based privilege management, visitor management, and parking management.
  • Identify methods to synchronize physical access data with authoritative sources to maintain data integrity and accuracy.
  • Ensure federal interoperability (federation) of physical access control systems.
  • Recommend system architecture, product selection, and integration strategies using GSA’s Approved Products List (APL).
  • Develop system design, compliance, and audit readiness documentation.
  • Ensure alignment with FICAM and NIST guidelines by collaborating with federal stakeholders, integrators, and vendors.
  • Prepare and deliver executive briefings and recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Recommend business process improvements and reengineering initiatives through the use of strategic thinking.
  • Engage with all stakeholders from subject matter experts to senior leadership.
Desired Qualifications
  • Hold an advanced degree in information systems, engineering, or related field.
  • Hold certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Physical Security Professional (PSP).
  • Apply experience with Federal IT services models and frameworks.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of commercial IT hardware and software markets.
  • Apply operational experience in program/project metrics tracking and reporting.
  • Demonstrate customer service orientation and outstanding level of professionalism in providing client support.
  • Leverage knowledge of on-premises and cloud-based environments.
  • Apply experience with enterprise-wide platform deployment software.
