Job Description
The Medical University of South Carolina is recruiting a Colorectal Surgeon. Successful candidates must be eligible to obtain an unrestricted South Carolina medical license and VA Medical Center privileges. Candidates must be board certified/eligible in General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery; completed an accredited Colon and Rectal Surgery fellowship; and be board certified/eligible in Colon and Rectal Surgery.
Responsibilities will include providing excellent patient care as well as teaching medical students and surgery residents. We are looking for a partner to participate and lead clinical and translational research for the Section of Colorectal Surgery within the Department of Surgery.
You will join a highly skilled team which includes three Colon and Rectal Surgeons in a Colon and Rectal practice that includes colon and rectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, complex anal rectal and diverticular disease. The clinical and academic practice is located in a newly opened digestive-diseased based hospital. MUSC has ranked in the U.S. News & World Report Top Hospitals for GI Diseases, and the Hollings Cancer Center is the sole NCI-designated Cancer Center in the State of South Carolina.
