Requirements
  • An associate degree is required (food/science based is preferred), or the equivalent of a laboratory certification program or 2 years of dairy laboratory experience required.
  • Ability or aptitude to learn, to operate various pieces of lab equipment which includes: C.E.M. unit, Milligram Scales, Microscope, Centrifuges, pH Meter, Titration Equipment, etc.
  • Ability to operate computer programs (to include Microsoft Office and Schreiber specific systems).
  • Satisfactory attendance record and required to be on-time to work. Must be willing to work weekends, off-shifts, overtime as needed.
Responsibilities
  • Test various raw-side ingredients, in-process samples and finished products for quality and standardization purposes.
  • Maintain a high level of cleanliness and sanitation of laboratory and all its equipment.
  • Communicate any and all quality related issues with appropriate management personnel.
  • Complete, accurate, organized, test data for easy access and investigation.
  • Provide backup vacation relief including weekends and holidays.
  • Work as a team player, including other department personnel.
