- Licensed California Civil (PE) required
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience with the structural design of buildings or similar structures
- Experience with structural computer analysis software systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam
- Experience with the latest release of Autodesk Revit design tools
- Ability to build and maintain a strong team of professionals and support staff within a cooperative multidiscipline office performing at a high level of satisfaction to clients
- Strong critical thinking, organizational, and analytical abilities
- Excellent leadership, supervisory, and writing and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Comfortable consulting to architectural practices
- Experience managing and mentoring teams of engineers and designers to exceed client’s expectations and ensure successful, on-time and on-budget projects
- Perform project management duties and oversee structural analysis, design, and detailing on a variety of projects
- Collaborate with the architect, owner, and contractor to provide a well-coordinated and high-quality set of structural drawings
- Lead and manage a team of engineers, designers, and drafters to execute structural designs
- Meet with the project team to ensure effective communication flow during design
- Interface with the contractor during construction to ensure positive results with minimum complications
- Manage profitability of projects and maintain a working relationship with clients
- Master’s degree in structural engineering preferred
- Licensed California Structural Engineer (SE) preferred
