- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- At least 3 years of experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing diesel equipment is required.
- Availability for shift work, weekends, and 24-hour call may be required.
- Knowledge of troubleshooting techniques and proper repair procedures is required.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics, operating manuals, and maintenance service manuals.
- Organizational and time management skills are required, including the ability to set and maintain priorities and handle the stress associated with a fast-paced industry and deadlines.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.

- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and diesel-powered equipment.
- Perform troubleshooting and preventive maintenance through component replacement as required by skill level.
- Operate equipment and understand associated operating systems.
- Understand electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic circuits, drawings, and prints.
- Use diagnostic equipment such as Cat ET and CAT-SIS.
- Work with electronic cables, connections, and sensors.
- Maintain, diagnose, and repair diesel engines, transmissions, drivetrain components, winches, high-pressure pumps, centrifugal pumps, air compressors, microprocessor controls, electromechanical equipment, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, gearboxes, power take-off systems, 12/24-volt electrical systems, equipment cabs and controls, chassis and suspension, and air-conditioning systems.
- Perform inspections required by the company.
- Install and replace new or reconditioned repair parts.
- Test equipment for proper operation.
- Provide customer service.
- Operate lifting devices.
- Complete assigned paperwork, including parts requisitions, timecards, part returns, service reports, and other necessary reports and forms.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
