Requirements
  • The candidate must have a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for a state medical license.
  • The candidate must have completed an Anatomic Pathology or Anatomic Pathology/Clinical Pathology residency.
  • The candidate must have completed a Pediatric Pathology fellowship.
  • The candidate must be board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Pathology.
  • All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
Responsibilities
  • Practice as a Pediatric Pathologist within a subspecialty-based system.
  • Sign out pediatric surgical specimens and perinatal autopsies.
  • Act as a key liaison to pediatricians, pediatric surgeons, and other related subspecialists.
  • Provide pathology support for the children's hospital.
  • Provide excellent patient care.
  • Teach medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Participate in research and scholarly activities with faculty across WVU departments.
  • Participate in other clinical subspecialty or administrative areas of expertise or interest as applicable.
