  • 5+ years of experience working for a professional sports team, including working directly with athletes and uniformed personnel
  • 3+ years of experience serving as the primary front office representative during road trips
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field
  • Exceptional proofreading skills and attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of baseball statistical websites, including Baseball-Reference/Play Index, FanGraphs, Baseball Savant, and the MLB Research Portal
  • Extensive experience working with Adobe InDesign, especially as it relates to creating and editing media guide files and game notes
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Spanish fluency is preferred
  • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate on organizational initiatives
  • Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to work hours consistent with the MLB schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays
Responsibilities
  • Oversee all baseball information efforts, including game notes, press releases, and media guides
  • Represent the Baseball Communications & Media Relations department on approximately half of all road trips during Spring Training and the regular season
  • Assist with all interview requests related to players, the coaching staff, and the front office
  • Contribute to the organization’s marketing, broadcasting, and creative services efforts
  • Regularly interact with media and monitor press coverage daily
