Requirements
  • 5+ years of CNC machinist experience
  • Experience with 3-5 axis machining
  • Apprenticeship, Associates degree or combination of training and hands-on experience required
  • Expert understanding and experience with precision CNC machining and/or programming
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, BoM's and work instructions/aids
  • Experience in precision CNC machining of a variety of materials
  • Experience with milling, bonding, and fastener applications
  • Experience with CNC controller navigation, tool and material setups & processing
  • Experience with on-machine CNC programming and program adjustments ad-hoc
  • Experience in operating 3 - 5 axis vertical and horizontal milling capabilities, CNC lathe capabilities, etc.
  • Experience in manual deburring operations
  • Experience in using a variety of hand tools in cutting, grinding, fitting, and assembling
Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and work hand-in-hand with a small team of highly skilled machinists and operators
  • Perform CNC Operations, including machine set-up for 3 - 5 axis vertical and horizontal milling capabilities, CNC lathe capabilities, etc.
  • Operate machines in accordance with internal process and any other required paperwork
  • Inspect and verify work to ensure it meets specification requirements
  • Perform daily preventative maintenance on equipment and clean work area after each shift
  • Maintain inventory of components, hardware, and other necessary department items
  • Follow process routing document, perform inspection(s), and legibly record results where required
  • Provide in-process guidance and support for technicians within their department/area
  • Coordinate and align with supervisor(s), team leads (other departments/shifts), management, and various other internal personnel
  • Support as subject matter expert for lean/continuous improvement events
  • Report on daily/shift-specific metrics and KPI's
  • Work with employees, supervisors, management to define and implement employee improvement and development plans
