Job Summary:
The Quality Assurance Engineer II is a collaborative individual with knowledge and experience in manual and automated testing of UI applications and/or APIs. This individual is passionate about Agile development and continuing to grow their career in the field of quality assurance and healthcare. They understand the value of strong quality assurance best practices and automated testing to protect quality. Their focus is on automated testing but is comfortable with using manual techniques where required to achieve quality. They work through the entire product lifecycle while learning industry best practices with emerging technologies.
Essential Functions:
- Contributing to product test plans
- Contributing to automated test suites that fully cover application functionality both at the UI and API layer where applicable
- Creating, maintaining, and executing manual test cases using ZOLL’s test case management system
- Understanding, verifying, and effectively communicating product requirements
- Ensuring product is deployable and maintainable when delivered to our customers
- Collaboratively participate in Agile ceremonies
- Collaborating with development team to find and resolve defects within the sprint
- Developing repertoire of troubleshooting skills to assist with the diagnoses and resolution of product configuration issues in test environments
- Reproducing, documenting, and verifying resolution of customer/field reported issues
- Using VMware and/or AWS to setup and maintain test environments
- Utilize organizational process control systems and industry privacy requirements (i.e. FDA quality controls, HIPAA).
Skills Requirements:
- Experience using manual and automated testing techniques for both UI and data/api level testing
- Knowledge of automated testing techniques with at least one automated testing framework. (e.g. Selenium, Appium/WinAppDriver, CodedUI, etc.)
- Proactive and demonstrates ownership in solving problems and seeking input from teammates
- Communicates openly and honestly and respects the variety of personality styles that make up the team
- Adapts easily to solve new problems or change directions as needed
- Balances “head’s down testing” time with active collaboration/problem solving discussions with the team
- Able to manage confidential information with appropriate discretion and judgement
Required/Preferred Education and Experience:
- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of experience in a professional application development environment
- Preferred 2-3 years healthcare technology experience
Specialization Descriptions:
These are descriptions of some of the specializations that may be needed from a Quality Assurance Engineer II.
- Experience testing critical, high volume, big data applications that scale
- Mobile application testing experience
- Experience working with and testing applications that are deployed in the public cloud, leverage NoSQL and SQL Database Systems, employ microservices and/or containerization
- Experience with security testing best practices

Compensation for this position is $95K-$105K. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and location.
