Senior Product Manager

Job Summary & Responsibilities

ONTO Innovation is seeking a Product Manager for their Inspection Business Unit (IBU) products to promote the development of complex semiconductor processing equipment. The successful candidate will work with a cross-functional team to manage the health of the Inspection Business Unit products and will drive CIP and next generation product initiatives. Major responsibilities include developing product strategy (including specifications and roadmaps), coordinating product life cycle initiatives, and tracking product health.

Other responsibilities will include:

• Cross-functional engagement with account managers, engineering, operations, and executive leadership
• Manage and own PLC gate reviews
• Develop PRDs for new products
• Assist Technical Account Managers (TAMs) in specification reviews
• Prioritize engineering projects based on field input and internal resource availability
• Work closely with Project Management

This role has significant and measurable impact on the success of the Inspection Business Unit. The successful candidate should possess strong analytical and creative thinking skills to thrive in an ambiguous environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or similar discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Material Science, Physics, or related) and a minimum of 3 years of experience; or advanced degree required. Must be comfortable interpreting engineering drawings, system block diagrams, electrical schematics, engineering specifications, and manufacturing requirements.

• Takes initiative to begin projects independently
• Strong interpersonal skills; Especially presentation and story-telling skills
• Leader and motivator of personnel
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• Semiconductor/Semiconductor capital equipment experience is strongly preferred. Experience with Inspection and Metrology a plus.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% as required
