Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of HR experience, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or team lead capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and HR compliance practices.
  • Demonstrated experience managing I-9s, background checks, unemployment claims, and document retention processes.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems (Workday experience preferred).
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with all levels of the organization.
Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Employee Experience Operations team, including Coordinators and Specialists to ensure efficient, accurate, and compliant execution of HR processes.
  • Ensure HR policies, procedures, and documentation comply with all federal, state, and local employment laws, including but not limited to EEO, ADA, FMLA, FLSA, I-9, and immigration regulations.
  • Stay current with changes in employment laws and regulations; evaluate their impact on organizational policies and recommend necessary updates or process adjustments.
  • Oversee core HR operations, including background screening, I-9 management, unemployment claim administration, employment verification, and personnel file/document retention practices.
  • Manage employment eligibility verification and immigration processes in partnership with outside legal counsel and internal stakeholders.
  • Partner with HR leadership, Legal, Payroll, and IT to streamline workflows and enhance compliance through effective use of HR systems (e.g., Workday).
  • Identify and implement efficiencies that improve the employee experience during onboarding while maintaining compliance and data integrity.
