Requirements
  • 2-3 years of experience with configuring and supporting CAD engineering design software. CATIA preferred, SOLIDWORKS also beneficial
  • 2-3 years of experience in Aerospace or Automotive, Transport or other complex mechanical product development and manufacturing industry preferred
  • Strong underlying theoretical and practical knowledge of engineering design and analysis disciplines and practices
  • Strong problem solving and root cause corrective action investigation background. Support & Troubleshooting mindset
  • Eager to learn and develop new skills in 3DExperience & CATIA
Responsibilities
  • Assist in development of and champion robust adoption of Product CAD and DMU Engineering best practices
  • Help to develop and support a robust CAD training program for Design Design and Reviewer team members
  • Help develop and manage parametric product architecture models such as Skeletons, Master Lines, and Interface Controls
  • Assist in establishing and help to maintain CAD Standards including but not limited to 3D Modeling, Drafting, Materials & Mass, and Standard Parts libraries
  • Work with and in support of engineers across departments to uncover knowledge gaps in CAD and PLM methods, and proactively seek to leverage unused software features to improve existing process inefficiencies
  • Training and support of Product Development and Manufacturing Engineers in Catia and Solidworks modeling, relational design, generative shape design, drafting, review, and other key functionalities
