Requirements
  • More than 10 years demonstrated expertise in compact model generation with industry standard SPICE models, such as PSP or BSIM (bulk and SOI), and development of device behavioral models and sub-circuit representations for RFIC applications.
  • More than 5 years of experience with design of experiments and analysis techniques (electrical, mechanical, thermal, chemical, etc.) needed to develop and assess new device technologies.
  • Exceptional understanding of semiconductor device physics and fabrication technologies including deep submicron and FinFET processes.
  • Demonstrated experience developing external partnerships and vendor relationships.
  • More than 5 years of experience in organizing and leading technical research and development efforts, and in preparing presentations and proposals needed to attract research funding.
Responsibilities
  • Measuring and understanding semiconductor device behavior with the goal of developing compact device models for use in integrated circuit design and simulation.
  • Organizing and managing research and development projects to be carried out by technical teams of other domain experts.
  • Providing mentorship and guidance to others in all aspects of these projects (technical, organization, reporting, etc.).
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with relevant vendors and partner organizations, as well as with other internal leads and teams working on other system elements.
  • Creating and managing work plans to meet or exceed schedule deadlines and technical expectations.
  • Leading and contributing to proposal and marketing efforts required to sustain continued R&D efforts.
