Requirements
  • The candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Public Trust clearance prior to starting; clearance is not required at application.
  • The candidate must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • The candidate must be able to work effectively in a fully remote environment.
  • The candidate should have at least five years of hands-on, directly applicable experience implementing systems such as UNIX, Windows, and network storage solutions.
  • The candidate must have performed system design, equipment and software procurement, installation, integration, and testing in the required environment.
  • The candidate must have experience with large systems involving a complex mix of operating systems and functions.
  • The candidate must understand applications and application software such as Oracle, Relativity, or other web hosting platforms.
  • The candidate should have at least one year of experience setting up large-scale database management applications using applicable database management software.
  • The candidate must have experience in storage technology planning, performance capacity planning and modeling, applications planning, human factors issues, distributed processing, and business process analysis.
  • The candidate must have in-depth knowledge of government IT environments, including office automation networks and PC- and server-based databases and applications.
  • The candidate must have in-depth knowledge of government security requirements.
  • The candidate must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
Responsibilities
  • Work with senior Contractor technical staff, including Systems Engineers and Technical Analysts, to ensure that systems as designed and implemented meet overall system objectives.
  • Operate and maintain IT systems and facilities established by the Government to provide automated litigation support IT resources for specific cases.
  • Establish systems and facilities when required.
  • Keep existing systems and facilities running; monitor, analyze, and optimize system performance; recommend performance improvements; perform scheduled system backups; assign user IDs and passwords; allocate and track disk space; provide consulting support and advice to IT users responsible for applications and databases on servers; identify and order supplies, hardware, software, and accessories; and perform hardware and software upgrades.
  • Implement and enforce system, facility, and data security measures, including disaster recovery resources and procedures.
  • Administer hardware, operating system software, database software, and other applications software.
  • Coordinate with the Contracting Officer's Representative and DOJ technical staff, including DOJ office automation network administration staff on network issues.
  • Supervise and manage subordinate staff.
  • Report on progress.
  • Develop tools for system-wide application development and prepare system documentation.
Desired Qualifications
  • Litigation support experience is highly valued.
  • Supervisory experience is very strongly preferred.
  • An undergraduate degree is strongly preferred, preferably in computer science or management information or technology disciplines.
  • CNE certification is highly desirable.
