Requirements
  • Three (3) years in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience in social services, populations in crisis, including the homeless population and people with disabilities.
  • One (1) year in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience in social services, populations in crisis, including the homeless population and people with disabilities

Responsibilities
  • Create property and landlord portfolios as part of the Housing Partnership Program.
  • Stay abreast of standards, rules, and statues governing the conduct of mediation.
  • Review, analyze, and evaluate assigned referrals and assign to regionalized team or, if ineligible for mediation, provide additional resources for the referring party.
  • Assist parties in creating and exploring options to resolve tenant/landlord disputes, including working with disputants to clarify issues, identifying underlying concerns, and developing an understanding of their respective needs and interests.
  • Monitor and evaluate mediation processes to ensure efficient and well-coordinated collaboration across various housing program teams.
  • Serve as a point of contact for HPPS mediation services, including the 24 Hour Protocol Hotline.
