Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience in multifamily or hospitality environments.
  • Advanced experience in two or more trades, such as electrical, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, or painting.
  • Working knowledge of appliances.
  • Ability to accurately perform basic mathematical functions.
  • EPA Universal Certification.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform the stated physical activities, including sitting, standing, walking, reaching, and occasional climbing.
  • Ability to work extended or flexible hours and weekends as needed.
  • Availability to work some nights, weekends, and occasional holidays.
  • A valid set of basic personal tools, including a hammer, screwdriver, adjustable wrench, tape measure, and flashlight.
Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day duties and responsibilities for two or more apartment communities.
  • Support the Maintenance Supervisor with project scope, technical specifications, budget tracking, scheduling, material and equipment requirements, subcontractor and vendor bidding and management, and overall facility and maintenance project planning and execution.
  • Ensure that the physical aspects of the community meet operational and safety standards.
  • Assist with the management, development, and mentorship of maintenance team members in diagnosing problems and making repairs.
  • Complete unit inspections as needed and maintain orderly documentation.
  • Organize, maintain, and use provided supplies in a cost-effective manner.
  • Pre-diagnose and troubleshoot building systems before scheduling repairs.
  • Repair issues involving HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliances, carpentry, and related systems.
  • Maintain an appearance appropriate to the company's image.
  • Complete additional tasks assigned by community leadership.
  • Maintain ongoing professional development through company continuing education programs.
  • Maintain regular attendance and actively participate in or plan company functions and events.
Desired Qualifications
  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Certified Pool Operator certification.
  • Intermediate computer and internet knowledge.
  • Ability to use on-site resident management software.
