- Support the operation by processing client orders or receipts, preparing order confirmations, communicating with carriers, and handling general account records.
- Communicate professionally, effectively, and promptly with customers by telephone or in writing regarding day-to-day business and customer or staff inquiries.
- Maintain the integrity of account information stored in the company’s internal systems.
- Provide departmental support functions for assigned clients.
- Use facility information systems for client-account tasks, including order entry, inventory inquiries, and receipt processing.
- Complete daily reports and worksheets required by clients and management accurately.
- Enter orders accurately and release the same information to staff as needed, and answer customer billing questions.
- Record customer interactions and transactions, including inquiries, complaints, comments, and actions taken.
- Contact customers to respond to inquiries or notify them of order status or adjustments.
- Track client activities accurately and complete daily spreadsheets.
- Confer with customers by telephone, email, or in person to provide information about products and services, shipping and receiving, take orders, and obtain order details.
- Complete monthly billing responsibilities, including closing and entering charge codes for orders, receivers, and work orders.
- Prepare work orders, bills of lading, shipping orders, commercial invoices, master bills of lading, packing lists, and barcode labels to route materials.
- Communicate effectively with associates, supervisors, managers, and senior management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Experience in a distribution or fulfillment environment.
