Requirements
  • At least 2 years of teaching experience, or 8 – 12 years of prior relevant experience, or a Masters with 6 – 10 years of prior relevant experience
  • B.A. must be obtained in the U.S. or in the country of language skill
  • Strong foreign language skills
  • Familiarity with current events in the countries where the foreign languages are spoken
  • Ability to develop class materials and training aids to meet customized student needs
  • Must take and pass the foreign language test administered by LEIDOS/accepted commercial testing vendors
  • Score at least a 4 or higher on the translation test and a 4/4/4 on the speaking/listening/reading test
  • TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance is required
Responsibilities
  • Provide 3-5 hours of instruction daily in courses at ILR 0-3
  • Undertake tester training to become certified language testers
  • Conduct 3-4 language tests per week
  • Instruct students in speaking a foreign language and understanding the culture of the area or country
  • Develop class materials and training aids to meet customized student needs
  • Receive specific sponsor training focusing on foreign language teaching and testing
