Requirements
  • 2-year degree preferred, or commensurate 4-year work experience minimum
  • 4+ years of experience as an industrial facilities planner/scheduler preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Journeyman Electrician (Master Electrician license preferred)
  • Applicable experience may be substituted for the licensure requirement
  • Ability to identify what is needed to execute a WO, including selection of the proper Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and parts/materials
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple internal and external stakeholders, to ensure plans are realistic and achievable
  • Experience with standard computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or other work order system
  • Ability to learn and execute both work planning and parts ordering/management processes
  • Experience with MS Excel and simple databases for the tracking and manipulation of data
  • Experience with electrical technical data, such as drawings, vendor manuals, supplemental materials, special procedures, diagrams, etc
  • Ability to balance scheduled work orders with labor availability and skills/subject matter expertise
  • Ability to estimate and define requirements for total labor, materials, special tools, equipment, and skill sets, for all work including complex projects such as plant shutdown, plant improvement projects, etc
  • Ability to prepare and present comprehensive reports with recommendations or needed changes
  • Experience with advanced work planning for capital improvement and job order contract projects
  • Demonstrates superior seamless customer service, integrity, and commitment to innovation, efficiency, and fiscally responsible activity
  • Experience with periodic (monthly) financial forecasting of monthly maintenance activities to control expense spending

Responsibilities
  • Participates in two-week look-ahead planning process and manage the work schedule
  • Works with Reliability and Operations Engineers to ensure timely PM execution and provide feedback to ensure electrician/technician resources are efficiently used
  • Reviews all Service Requests or internal resourcing request to determines validity and accuracy of information and engage the appropriate resources to set a preliminary priority
  • Prioritizes work through a defined protocol of process criticality and equipment redundancy
  • Uses critical path methods and other planning methods to coordinate and optimize work flows
  • Plans and schedules preventive maintenance work, primarily with the use of a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to ensure just-in-time completion (compliance)
  • Coordinates with warehouse staff & Parts Conductor to ensure on-time delivery of parts required to support work activities
  • Assists Parts Conductor with parts ordering and requisitions as department workload requires and acts as backup Parts Conductor
  • Obtains and organizes all information required for the work to be performed. (i.e. PTP's, KPA's, drawings, vendor manuals, supplemental materials, special procedures, diagrams, etc.)
  • Creates work packages for all work orders, including but not limited to:
  • Work Order Data, LO/TO Plan, Work Plan, Change Point Management, Work Order Closeout
  • Reviews work orders to ensure accuracy, completeness prior to closure
  • Tracks historical spending and manage current spending to meet expense targets for labor/outside services associated with service contracts
  • Reports basic key performance indicators (KPIs) and collaborate with supervisors/managers to guide decision-making for performance improvement
  • Participates in redundancy and contingency planning for emergency situations
  • Assists with review of requests for proposal, contracts for maintenance, and similar documents for accuracy, approach, requirements, and recommends appropriate action
  • Completes other duties as assigned
