The Role
As the founding Manager of AP & AR at Moxion, you will be our in-house AP & AR expert. You will help to expand the policies and procedures for accounts payable and accounts receivable, direct your team in Vendor and Customer management in collaboration with Supply Chain and Sales, report out key metrics, explore and implement tools for end to end management of both AP & AR functions and elevate AP and AR to world class departments. We are currently receiving outsourced support for accounts payable and you will plan and manage moving these functions in house.
What you’ll do:
- Manage the accounts payable function; including our in-house Senior Analyst, AP & AR and a third party outsourced accounting firm currently performing accounts payable activities
- Manage policies and procedures around Accounts Payable
- Collaborate with Supply Chain and other key departments in the Procure to Pay cycle, best practices and reporting
- Create and manage policies and procedures around Accounts Receivable
- Collaborate with key departments on developing our Quote to Cash process (including Customer Invoicing and Collections) and the related development within Netsuite
- Thoughtfully manage relationships with key Customers and Suppliers
- Own AP and AR month end reconciling and reporting requirements
- Own AP and AR audit support
- Collaborate in the development of ERP processes for AP and AR activities
- Identify and be key player in implementation of new accounting tools as needed for streamlining AP and AR processes
Skills to be successful:
- Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance required.
- 6+ years in corporate accounting, including 4+ years in vendor or customer facing experience
- Strong understanding of both Procure to Pay and Order to Cash cycles
- Experience in relationship management
- Working knowledge of GAAP
- Strong financial analysis skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational and stress management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel
Nice to haves’:
- Prior experience in Bill.com, Ramp and Netsuite a plus!
- Experience with revenue recognition best practices, ASC 606

Maximum amounts are reserved for those candidates that exceed all experience and background requirements. We reserve the right to offer compensation based on level of experience. Moxion has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. The range above reflects the potential base pay within the San Francisco Bay area. If you live outside that region, the range is subject to change.
Base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within the range provided above. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.
