What you’ll be doing…
The Content team sits within the wider SEO team, and is responsible for all creative copy across Go.Compare from updating help text on the car insurance journey to writing social post copy, newsletters and site guides. We support Go.Compare to deliver high quality copy to convey a consistent tone of voice across the brand. This role would purely focus on the SEO responsibilities we deal with.
Main Responsibilities...
- Write high-quality content that follows SEO best practices using industry experience and prioritising according to our needs
- Improve content to enhance our rankings and brand visibility keeping it fresh, accurate and ensuring we answer user’s questions in the best possible way
- Keep on top of market news and trends around personal finance, broadband and energy using this to influence content
- Be an expert voice when it comes to information such as insurance and personal finance
- Write and editing copy following the Go.Compare TOV
- Use data to help tell a story and make content improvements
- Ensuring content is compliant and meeting FCA guidelines.
Experience that will put you ahead of the curve…
- Experience writing for an insurance brand including a portfolio of bylines
- A understanding of the insurance industry and FCA guidelines
- Experience proof-reading and editing content within a style guide
- Experience using content management systems
- Experience with SEO best practices
- The ability to conduct research to find out answers, and to use data in your copy
- Knowledge of personal finance and household bills industries would be beneficial (but not essential)
