  • Must have at least 3 years of commercial underwriting experience, ideally with an MGA/Wholesaler.
  • Must have established relationships with retail agents in the Gulf States.
  • Strong sales and marketing skills a must, business acumen, interest in continued education, and professional development.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to work with multi-faceted systems.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of UW Concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Insurance license, CPCU, CIC or comparable designations preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Underwrite / Broker business for insurance companies and partners under general direction of partner and internal guidelines.
  • Oversee the evaluation, classification, and rating of risk to determine acceptability, coverage, and pricing.
  • Implement underwriting policies under the direction of the Management and ensure compliance with these policies.
  • Monitor critical areas, such as loss ratio, costs, retention ratio and new business hit ratio, formulating corrective action where necessary.
