Job Description:

Sayari is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with an active Top Secret/SCI clearance to join the company and help deploy and maintain Sayari’s customer premise environments. The ideal candidate will have a wealth of experience as a DevOps or platform engineer within a technology company that services the government space.

Our application tier is built primarily in Typescript, running in Kubernetes, and backed by Postgres, Cassandra, Elasticsearch and Memgraph. Our data ingest tier runs on Spark, processing terabytes of data collected from hundreds of data sources. The platform allows users to explore a large knowledge graph sourced from hundreds of millions of structured and unstructured records from over 200 countries and 30 languages.

Job Responsibilities

Build and maintain Kubernetes based environments within the customers classified cloud environments
Troubleshoot deployment issues regarding container based applications and helm
Collaborate with the customers security team to achieve and maintain necessary certifications such as an ATO
Assist the data engineers working in the same environment with maintaining their data tools and workflows
Create and maintain internal tools to automate portions of your and others job

Skills & Experience:

7+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer
Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and containerization
Sufficient understanding of database technology such as Postgres, Cassandra, Elasticsearch and Memgraph
Strong debugging skills
The ability to interface with internal users, gather requirements, and work collaboratively with engineers on solutions
The ability to program in one or more of the following languages: Java, Python, Go
A good understanding of security concepts in large government agencies, and the ability to work with security teams to achieve desired security controls
Exposure to classified clouds such as c2s and azure and other hosting environments such as VMware
Must be located in DC Area and willing to travel onsite to clients
Exposure to data engineering concepts such as entity resolution is a plus
