Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent education is required.
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage service operational procedures is required, normally acquired through at least 6 months of previous similar experience.
  • The employee must be able to stand, walk, sit, kneel, use hands to handle or feel, and talk or hear.
  • The employee may occasionally need to lift or move up to 25 pounds.
  • The employee must have close vision, depth perception, color vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • The employee must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local safety and health regulations.
Responsibilities
  • Greet all arriving players, members, and guests at the assigned station in a pleasant manner and make them feel welcome and at ease.
  • Escort arriving players, members, and guests to their desired dining location, present menus, and inform them of their server.
  • Promptly notify servers of newly seated tables and maintain contact with servers to support timely service.
  • Continually assess the dining room and ensure that the seating chart is accurate based on open tables.
  • Schedule dining reservations and arrange special services for players, members, and guests as requested.
  • Check the answering machine to ensure that reservations have been properly recorded with complete guest information.
  • Keep work stations neat, clean, and properly set according to standards, including the podium, doorways, and dining room entryways.
  • Participate in the continuous cleaning and upkeep of all food and beverage areas.
  • Keep the station stocked with required supplies.
  • Inspect menus to ensure that they are current, clean, and in good condition.
  • Bid departing players, members, and guests farewell, thank them for their visit, ask about their experience, and invite them to return.
  • Advise the supervisor of special guests and department heads dining in the restaurant.
  • Advise the supervisor of member or guest complaints so they can be resolved promptly and professionally.
  • Attend pre-shift meetings as requested by supervisory staff.
  • Expedite food and beverage items as needed and serve only items meeting menu specifications, using the proper garnishes, china, glassware, and flatware.
  • Handle and count cash, make accurate change, and record credit cards and member charges according to standard operating procedures.
  • Understand member and guest comments and complaints and immediately forward the information to the supervisor.
  • Inform the Director of Food and Beverage and other supervisory staff about members or guests who may be intoxicated; do not serve guests who are clearly intoxicated.
  • Set up and break down tables, chairs, display tables, theme decorations, and other equipment as requested.
  • Ensure compliance with operating guidelines related to the R.A.M. or Tips programs and applicable state and federal laws, rules, and regulations concerning alcohol, cigarettes, and tobacco.
  • Operate within the guidelines, policies, standards, and constraints established by PGA TOUR Golf Course Properties, Inc.
  • Adhere to service procedures outlined in the TPC Brand Standards.
  • Perform special projects and other assigned duties.

Its venues include tournament hosts as well as member and guest destinations offering golf, dining, events and hospitality.
