Senior AWS Technical Architect

We currently have a career opportunity for a Senior AWS Technical Architect to join our team.

Perficient is seeking a highly skilled and hands-on AWS Architect to join our growing AWS Practice. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of deep technical expertise and strategic impact, and who can drive the design and development of reusable solution accelerators that enable cloud migration, modernization, and AI-powered transformation initiatives. You’ll work directly with AWS services and full-stack technologies (Java, .NET, Python) to build scalable, production-grade components and frameworks.

In this role, you will guide technical discovery sessions with clients and architect AWS-based solutions that address transformation goals and business challenges. You’ll translate complex requirements into actionable migration strategies and modernization roadmaps, own the development of proof-of-concept solutions and technical demos, and contribute to proposals and client presentations with hands-on technical input. Staying current on AWS services, modernization patterns, and emerging technologies—especially AI/ML—will be essential to effectively support both clients and internal teams.

• Lead the design and development of reusable solution accelerators that support cloud migration, modernization, and AI-driven transformation initiatives.
• Collaborate with Portfolio Specialists and Account Executives to qualify leads and shape technical solutions aligned to client needs.
• Conduct deep-dive technical discovery sessions with clients to understand legacy systems, pain points, and modernization goals.
• Translate business and technical requirements into actionable AWS architectures, migration strategies, and modernization roadmaps.
• Build proof-of-concept solutions and technical demos to showcase capabilities and validate approaches with clients.
• Partner with AWS practice leaders and delivery teams to scope projects, estimate effort, and ensure feasibility of proposed solutions.
• Stay current on AWS services, modernization patterns, and emerging technologies (especially AI/ML) to guide clients and internal teams effectively.
• Support proposal development, RFP responses, and client presentations with hands-on technical input and solution narratives.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor during early stages of engagement, helping shape strategy and execution plans.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience with AWS services and full-stack development using technologies such as Java, .NET, and Python to build scalable, production-grade components and reusable frameworks.
• Strong capability in designing and delivering compelling technical demos, presentations, and proof-of-concept solutions that showcase modernization strategies and architectural vision.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including engineering, product, and business stakeholders to align technical solutions with client objectives.
• Familiarity with legacy system analysis and modernization approaches, including cloud migration strategies and AI/ML integration patterns.
• AWS Certification (e.g., Solutions Architect - Associate or Professional) is highly desirable.
• Passion for innovation, continuous learning, and building reusable accelerators that drive client success and internal enablement.

The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The new hire salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all US locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the unique facts and circumstances regarding each candidate. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position is $92,118 to $202,730. Please note that the salary range posted reflects the base salary only and does not include benefits or any potential variable compensation programs.
