Legend Biotech is seeking a Director, Global Project Management as part of the Technical Operations team based in Somerset, NJ. 

Role Overview

Lead Global Project Management Office for Legend.  The Director of Global Project Management will establish a structure of policies & procedures to facilitate excellent visibility and progress of a global project portfolio.  Projects will be diverse and are expected to include: continuous improvement, KPI/dashboard development & management, R&D pipeline, and product launch into new markets.

This leader will be responsible for ensuring all projects and non-routine improvement activities are effectively planned & monitored while providing periodic updates and reported on to executive leadership.  Additionally, this role will be tasked with coaching and facilitation of results from cross-functional project managers throughout legend’s matrix organization to deliver on Legend’s Mission, Vision and Goals.

Key Responsibilities  

• Establish and execute a process to ensure that all projects and non-routine improvement activities are managed and ensure successful delivery towards the Site Mission and targets.
• Active management of projects portfolio.
• Periodically create listing of all relevant projects to facilitate prioritization and shortlisting.
• Maintain an updated list, continuously relevant to the company mission and targets, and partner with the VP of Global Operations and ELT members on strategy and execution design.
• Progress reporting to the Execute Leadership Team as appropriate.
• Coaching project managers and facilitation with functions, cross functional or with site Management and leadership teams as needed.
• Ensure that individual projects as well as the entire projects portfolio are aligned with the Executive Leadership Team, and the relevant stakeholders, and that the portfolio remains maintained for relevance as it progresses through time and through execution.
• Mentor and support PMs, to lead critical projects, and facilitate execution across functions, and with global teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 7 years of experience in Project Management Office or Functional leadership.
• Experience in life sciences, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical required.
• Large, matrix environment experience.
• Excellent management and leadership skills.
• Excellent facilitation, coaching skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Professional Project Management and Program Management/PMO skills.
• Strong organizational and detail-orientation skills.
• Ability to multi-task and shift priorities quickly as needed while working under challenging/changing deadlines.
