The Role
The Managing Director and Practice Lead- ERP is accountable for the overall strategy, financial performance, and operational success of the ERP practice. This includes overseeing the practice’s budget, revenue, and profit targets, while fostering client and employee satisfaction. The role involves identifying growth opportunities, developing innovative solutions, and lending subject matter expertise to support business development efforts, including RFPs and client sales presentations. This leader ensures the consistent quality of services delivered to clients and actively promotes practice excellence.
Key Responsibilities
The Managing Director and Practice Lead – ERP will be responsible for, but not limited to:
LEADERSHIP
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business line strategy that addresses evolving client needs, while ensuring profitability and achieving financial targets.
- Represent Nordic in collaborations with client leadership, focusing on understanding challenges and ensuring quality service delivery.
- Contribute to company growth strategies, including involvement in mergers and acquisitions.
- Lead by example in embodying Nordic’s core values, fostering enthusiasm, optimism, and courage.
- Directly manage and mentor a high-caliber team, focusing on talent development, team culture, and empowerment for effective execution.
- Make quick, decisive decisions in complex situations, often with limited information.
BUSINESS LINE MANAGEMENT
- Oversee and direct the practice team to meet annual revenue, profitability, and operational goals.
- Partner with internal teams to develop a marketing strategy, encompassing sales collateral, website content, and other client-facing materials.
- Understand resource availability and service demand within the market to optimize workforce and client service.
- Collaborate with the Client Partnerships team to grow new and expand existing client relationships; provide executive sponsorship as necessary.
- Travel to client sites and industry events to foster business development, maintain client relationships, and establish new connections.
- Participate in crafting customized proposals for RFPs and solution requests.
- Analyze client needs, recommending the best fit of Nordic’s services and consultants; work closely with the recruitment team to attract top talent.
- Ensure quality control of service delivery, addressing any client, team, or operational challenges promptly to maintain Nordic’s reputation.
- Stay current on healthcare industry trends, product innovations, and competitor strategies; pursue professional development through relevant industry events.
- Serve as an industry expert and thought leader, presenting at conferences to drive client engagement and strengthen Nordic’s brand.
- Continuously refine processes and workflows to enhance client and consultant experiences, generate efficiencies, and reduce costs.
- Support additional corporate initiatives as necessary.

Skills and Experience
- Behavior: Must demonstrate and embody Nordic’s Maxims
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required.
- Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Workday and Infor ERP services and business line offerings.
- Experience:
- 10+ years of experience implementing ERP systems, with a background as a vendor, consultant, or healthcare organization employee.
- 5+ years in a senior leadership role with financial responsibility and experience managing service-oriented teams in healthcare, ERP, consulting, or healthcare IT.
- 4+ years in sales support, account management, or client management.
- Leadership and People Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to give constructive feedback and inspire team success.
- Business Acumen: Knowledge of financial metrics and the ability to lead a professional services team aligned with organizational goals.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to handle multiple priorities while meeting commitments to clients, employees, and project timelines.
- Collaboration: Proven track record of working effectively with all organizational levels and a diverse range of candidates, consultants, and clients.
- Adaptability: Flexible and responsive to changes in the work environment, demonstrating resilience under pressure.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and virtual meeting and collaboration tools.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and within a team setting
Additional Details
Periodic travel will be required for client engagement, conferences, training, and other events.
