Requirements
  • The candidate must be at least 18 years old.
  • The candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • The candidate must hold a non-commissioned security license through the state of Texas.
  • The candidate must have strong customer service skills.
  • The candidate must be familiar with report writing.
  • The candidate must have monitoring and surveillance experience.
  • The candidate must be able to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks.
  • The candidate must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
Responsibilities
  • Scan tags on approved employee devices and verify phone IMEI numbers against stickers or provided paperwork.
  • Monitor the north dock for theft attempts, open and close dock doors, track outbound trucks, count pallets for inbound trucks, monitor open dock doors during loading, and monitor special projects during peak season.
  • Count pallets for inbound trucks at the south dock, monitor special projects during peak season, send and receive emails, type truck information, monitor open dock doors, and open and close dock doors.
  • Check devices in and out at the metal detector and permit only devices with approved stickers or paperwork.
  • Ensure visitors clear the x-ray, monitor the x-ray machine, and prevent prohibited items from entering the building.
  • Walk throughout the assigned area as a rover to deter theft attempts.
  • Track all high-value loads using computer software.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bilingual ability is a plus.
  • Evening, overnight, and weekend availability is required as a preferred qualification.
