The licensing operations lead is a strategic and integral part of our Revenue Operations and Strategy team. He or she works with senior leadership – including frequent collaboration with our CTO, product managers, cloud development and IT teams - to create and operationalize our licensing strategy and tools. We are looking for an experienced and strategic thinker, problem solver, and self-directed individual to work with team members and help define business and licensing requirements to support Extreme’s mission and objectives.
- Prioritize and synthesize business planning, licensing, project management, financial and metric analysis related to the licensing attributions of our subscription portfolio
- Conduct meetings with partners and end users to gather best in class examples for licensing administration and prioritization
- Develop sustainable and dynamic licensing models to support our product portfolio and the various purchasing behaviors desired by our customers
- Work closely with business managers, product managers, software developers, finance, and contracts teams to administer contract requirements during the contract’s lifecycle as well as the related budgets and procurement vehiclesAssist sales to ensure deal structure aligns with internal billing/renewal processes
- Provide a timely response to inquiries from our product management, software development, sales, and finance teams regarding pending and existing contracts
- Suggest opportunities for improvement for a better and more efficient contract licensing process
- Formalize operating metrics and work to develop/improve processes which can help exceed targets
- Assist in the formalization of Try and Buy and Demo/Evaluation processes for all as-a-service products
- Evaluate opportunities to cross-license complimentary offerings from strategic technology partners
- Requirements:
- 15+ years of experience with licensing management, strategy, business management, different procurement models, or contract administration
- Enthusiasm and commitment to a team-based working environment. Ability to organize, collaborate and coordinate strategy and project execution with multiple business lines and functional support areas across the company and our global offices
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and solve problems with little direct supervision
- Flexibility to meet changing business objectives and the ability to multitask and adroitly set priorities
- Strong verbal and written communications abilities and solid analytical and problem-solving skills
