Legend Biotech is starting their Summer Internship for the year of 2024! The IT Team is seeking a Enterprise Data Governance Intern for a 10 week Internship Program that will run from June 10th, 2024 to August 16th, 2024. We are looking for students or recent grads who are passionate about helping others and building something that matters.

Role Overview

The candidate for this position opportunity to work with global teams, learn about Legend’s Data Governance Program, liaise with various IT functions as well as work with all business functions. You will be part of the CyberSecurity Team and will be responsible for day-to-day support of various projects and program initiatives.

Key Responsibilities  

• Learn industry best practices for Data Governance including data cataloging, mapping and classification.
• Assist in maintaining the company’s Data Governance framework.
• Support Data Ambassador activities at the enterprise level to build and maintain the Data Governance Program to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures as well as external regulations Legend policies, procedures, local/regional data privacy and protection laws and regulations.
• Identify any process gaps in data mapping, discovery, classification assignments to capture and rectify issues.
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of metrics and dashboards to characterize and measure the value and effectiveness of Data Governance.

Requirements

• Current college junior or senior working toward an undergraduate degree or recent college graduate.
• Proficient in MS Visio and Microsoft Office suite.
• A broad knowledge of IT data security, data management lifecycle, data networking and operations.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage changing priorities and workflows.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment.
• Detail-oriented.
