Key Responsibilities:

- Develop, plan, and implement engaging recreational programs and activities tailored to residents with memory care needs

- Coordinate daily activities that promote cognitive, emotional, and physical well-being

- Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment that encourages participation and social interaction

- Collaborate with staff, families, and healthcare professionals to assess residents’ interests and needs

- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of programs, making adjustments to enhance resident engagement

- Maintain accurate records of activities and resident participation

- Ensure safety and comfort during all activities, adhering to facility policies and procedures

Skills and Qualifications:

- Prior experience in recreational therapy, activity coordination, or a related field, preferably in a memory care or senior living setting

- Strong understanding of dementia and memory care needs

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Creativity and enthusiasm in designing engaging activities

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to elder care

- Certification in recreational therapy or activity coordination is a plus
