  • In-depth knowledge of U.S. federal government contracting regulations (FAR, DFARS)
  • Experience with GSA schedules, IDIQ contracts, and other government contracting mechanisms
  • Deep organizational understanding of federal procurement officials and contracting officers in the Department of Defense and the Office of the Inspector General
  • Familiarity with the range of state and local government, and public educational procurement processes and regulations
  • Track record managing Fed/SLED contracts through their lifecycle, and maintaining compliance with ongoing legal and regulatory requirements tied to Facilities Clearance (FCL), Common Criteria, FedRAMP, etc.
  • 10 years plus of relevant experience, ideally a mix between roles in government (e.g., contracting officer, procurement official) and roles in enterprise software companies (e.g., contracts manager, legal operations specialist, paralegal)
  • Impeccable legal and business judgment in assessing materiality and relevance, differentiating actual from contractual risk, and maintaining equanimity under pressure
  • Proven ability to close transactions while preserving the company’s long-term competitive advantage and protecting against mission critical risk
  • Collaborative skills to partner cross functionally with leadership across the enterprise to build and scale the company’s Fed/SLED Go-to-Market strategy
  • Leadership aptitude paramount, management skill set crucial, quantitative operational and financial methodologies preferred, technical background a plus
  • Ability to prioritize among competing demands, to work independently, and to thrive in conditions of accelerating change
  • Sense of humor, integrity, curiosity, initiative, and desire to play an essential role in building a world class team
  • Lead the legal team’s support for Fed/SLED Sales and related teams to manage enterprise SaaS and software agreements and related documents needed to sell into public institutions
  • Streamline documentation, processes, and systems needed to rapidly scale Fed/SLED sales
  • Collaborate with Sales Operations stakeholders to continuously improve our public sector customer acquisition and retention through the management of cohesive systems, holistic reporting and analytics, and strategic support and incentives
  • Engage with Sales field operations to streamline negotiation processes, minimize customer acquisition costs, maximize customer lifetime value, and enhance customer success from the start
  • Play a primary role in maintaining ongoing compliance with legal and regulatory obligations arising from Fed/SLED sales transactions
