Requirements
  • Ability to read, analyze, interpret and communicate regarding common scientific and/or technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Aptitude to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Power to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
  • Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil’s software packages.
  • Capacity to tailor advanced quality tools training to all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to communicate in all media forms and cross-culturally.
  • Mastery to assess, monitor performance virtually, define root causes, create corrective action plans and influence change from individual contributors to top management in and outside the company.
  • Ability to manage highly-skilled professionals remotely.
  • Ability to adapt to rapid changes with a strong business focus and an innovative, solution oriented approach.
  • Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience of which at least the last 2 years in a Senior Management role. Hi Tech and/or Contract Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Willingness to maintain a heavy travel schedule and periodic extended stays in sites other than your home location including countries other than your own.
  • Multilingual a plus.
  • Or a combination of education, experience and/or training.
Responsibilities
  • Monitor team member turnover; identify key factors that can be improved; make improvements
  • Ensure that the regional operations team validates all employee training and development curriculum in area of responsibility
  • Coach and mentor regional operations senior management to deliver excellence to every internal and external customer
  • Create and manage succession plans for regional operations management organization
  • Establish clear measurable goals and objectives by which to determine individual and team results (i.e. operational metrics, results against project timelines, training documentation, attendance records, knowledge of operational roles and responsibilities, personal development goals)
  • Perform team member evaluations professionally and on time
  • Ensure recognition and rewards are managed fairly and consistently in area of responsibility
  • Provide a consistent, regularly scheduled communication forum for the exchange of ideas and information with the department
  • Know, understand and communicate the corporate strategic directions
  • Define, develop and implement a regional operations strategy, which contributes to the corporate strategic directions
  • Develop an understanding of each regional operation’s business strategy as it related to the overall Regional operations strategy
  • Provide regular updates to superiors and team on the execution of the strategy
  • Identify creative ways to reduce cost by streamlining processes and systems (i.e. modification of responsibilities or consolidation of tasks, elimination of non-value-added processes, or complete re-engineering of processes and systems)
  • Utilize tools to monitor departmental cost and cost trends, striving continuously to improve value
  • Prepare timely forecasts for the department and expense budgets when required
  • Challenge regional operations submitted economics: Pre-tax margins, RONA and other relevant metrics
  • Drive Jabil culture across all regional plants
  • Provide support to Corporate Development on merger and acquisition activities
  • Drive accuracy and continuous improvement mindset in financial management
  • Lead to maximize the existing plants’ operational performance in the region
  • Manage a team of operational development and materials system resources ensuring that best in class practices are driven into plant operations
  • Ensure an efficient and strong operations team to meet the business growth of the region
  • Provide overall leadership to all the sites to achieve continuous improvement in all aspects of Operations
  • Monitor the health of each site to ensure all key metrics of the organization are in line with the goals and objections set for the region
  • Review new initiatives and plans to integrate improved processes into all necessary sites
  • Assure these new plans are an improvement to the business and the project plan is viable
  • Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position
  • Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
